Hastings Sub Aqua Club (HSAC) – Your Gateway to Underwater Adventure!
Welcome to HSAC, a vibrant and active scuba diving club based in Hastings, East Sussex. Established in 1953, we proudly celebrated our 70th anniversary in 2023, marking decades of incredible dives, friendships, and shared passion for the ocean.
Where We Dive
We regularly explore the English Channel from Rye Harbour aboard a ten-metre dive boat, Missy Moo. From fascinating wrecks to rich marine life, each dive promises adventure and discovery.
Training & Certification – SAA & CMAS Standards
HSAC is a proud member of the Sub Aqua Association (SAA), affiliated with CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques). This allows us to train divers to internationally recognized standards.
We offer certifications ranging from CMAS One Star Diver to SAA Dive Leader, with additional regional courses like Diver Rescue, Club Instructor, and Dive Supervisor qualifications.
CMAS One Star Diver – Your First Step!
New to scuba diving? The CMAS One Star Diver program is the ideal starting point!
This structured training includes:
- 12 hours of swimming pool training
- Online theory sessions
- Four open water dives
Weekly 30-minute pool training sessions are available, and our personalized instruction allows you to fit learning into your schedule.
TRY DIVE Sessions – Experience Scuba Diving!
Curious about scuba diving? Our TRY DIVE sessions offer a unique opportunity to experience breathing underwater.
Details:
- Cost: £20 total (£15 session + £5 pool fee, cash only)
- One-on-One Instruction: Certified Club Instructor or higher
- What to Expect: Learn about scuba equipment and explore the underwater world
- What You Need: Just bring your swimming kit—all scuba gear is provided!
- Duration: 30 minutes—arrive early for preparation
- Medical Requirement: A completed TRY DIVE form confirming medical fitness for diving
- Booking Required: Please book in advance for equipment and instructor arrangements
